Could you help us support someone at one of the most difficult times in their life? Could you give £24 to help?
Care at the Hospice doesn’t end when a loved one dies and dealing with grief often continues for many months and years. We are here to listen to bereaved people, for as long as they need us, but we need your help to fund our Listening Service. The cost of one hour of Bereavement Listening support is £24.
One of our specially-trained Listeners Kim, goes into schools to support bereaved children. Over the years, she has met the same young woman, Alice, many times. Alice was just 10 years old when her mother died. With every significant milestone, she revisits her loss.
Whether it’s taking her GCSEs, learning to drive or her first date, all these new experiences make Alice think of her Mum and what she would say, the advice she would give, and the loving relationship that she is missing.
Bereavement Listeners offer a neutral space for someone who is struggling with grief. We listen in confidence and without judgement. We are with our families in their darkest moments so they are not alone. Help us do this by donating today.
