Being referred to Florence Nightingale Hospice means you have an illness that is life-limiting, but it doesn’t mean you are about to die.

Some patients are admitted to the in-patient unit in the last days of their life, as the Hospice is their preferred place of care.

But many patients find that a relatively short period of inpatient care makes a real difference to how they are feeling and enables them to return home feeling more comfortable.

If your symptoms are well managed but it would be difficult for you to go back to your own home, then we will help you and your family and friends to find other places where you can continue your care.
