Christmas can be a very emotional occasion, a time when we particularly think of loved ones who are no longer with us.

 This year we hope that of our Tree of Light remembrance service, along with our Books of Honour and online dedication page, can provide space and time for families and friends to remember and share those treasured memories

Dedicate a Light

Complete the form below to dedicate a light in memory of someone special to illuminate our beautiful Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity remembrance tree. Situated outside the Hospice itself, the tree will shine throughout the festive period as a symbol of the light those we have loved and lost have brought to our lives.

Write a dedication for our Book of Honour

Complete the form below to write a dedication to your loved one to appear in our Books of Honour. These will be available to view at our main tree of light service at Roman Park Hall from 4.30pm, as well as on the additional dates listed in the service section below.

Create an online Dedication

Anyone who dedicates a message will have this automatically added to the online dedication page, allowing friends and family all over the world to view. If you would prefer to add your message and directly to this online page, or would like to simply view the beautiful messages left, you can do so at

Please note that if you would prefer not to have your message displayed on the online dedication page, please tick the appropriate box on the form.

Anyone who donates and dedicates a message will receive a card with a copy of your message for you to keep at home.

Attend one of our Services

Tree of Light Charity Service:

Join our remembrance service at Roman Park Hall on Sunday 10th December from 5pm – 7pm, led by our chaplain and bereavement service team, where you will hear from our Hospice and charity staff plus uplifting songs and music and a moment of reflection. Light festive refreshments will be available. The event will open at 4.30pm with an opportunity to view the Books of Honour, followed by the service at 5pm, with refreshments available afterwards.

Virtual Service Viewing:

A virtual remembrance service will be available via our website throughout the festive period, to view at home from wherever you may be and as often as you wish. This will include stories and memories from our hospice staff as well as readings and a moment of reflection. This year, we are also offering a chance to view this virtual service on screen at Aylesbury Vale Crematorium. There will be an opportunity to light a candle or add a message tag to one of the memory trees at Aylesbury Vale Crematorium as well as to view our Books of Honour. Light refreshments will be available. Viewing times on Wednesday 13th December at either 9am or 6pm.

Our Books of honour will also be available to view at the Christmas Carol and Remembrance Service to be held at Aylesbury Vale Crematorium on December 15th 5pm-7pm.
