Volunteers’ Week – Head Office Volunteer

It’s been a whole year since I started volunteering at Florence’s Head Office – and what a year it’s been!

I began volunteering at Walton Lodge as a Volunteer Engagement volunteer to say thank you for the incredible care my loved ones received at the Hospice, compassionate, respectful, and truly exceptional.

What I didn’t expect was just how much I would get out of it, too. I’ve met amazing people, felt so welcomed, and had the chance to give back to a cause close to my heart. From helping at volunteering events to welcoming new volunteers, every moment has been meaningful and fun!

Being part of such a passionate, driven team is incredibly inspiring. If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, do it! It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
