Our Furniture Showroom on Broadfields in Aylesbury is reopening this weekend (Saturday 25th March) after being forced to close following an accident last month.
In February a car accidentally reversed into the front of the building, causing the door, window and surrounding brickwork to crumble. The extensive damage forced the shop to stop trading until a temporary door was installed earlier this week.
During the enforced closure we were unable to accept donations from customers at the shop and, with limited storage space, furniture collections were also restricted. The Showroom is our largest shop so this closure has had a major impact on their sales and donations during the last month.
Lily Caswell, Head of Retail,, says, “We are so pleased to be reopening our Furniture Showroom again after last month’s unfortunate accident, and would like to thank everyone for their supportive messages through these difficult weeks.
Our Retail team have been busy during the closure and the Showroom is absolutely packed full of brilliant furniture, homewares, books and toy, ready for customers to return this weekend. We are looking forward to opening our doors again and start welcoming our customers and donors in again.”
The Furniture Showroom will reopen at 9am on Saturday 25th March and is open seven days a week.
The charity has also restarted their donated furniture collections, which can be arranged via the charity’s website at fnhospice.org.uk/donate-furniture.
100% of the profits from the sale of donated items at our shops go directly to the charity which supports the care of patients with life-limiting illnesses, and their families, all across Buckinghamshire and its borders.
