This week on our LinkedIn page we are celebrating Student Volunteering Week.
 
Throughout the week we have been highlighting the ways volunteering can benefit students and young people.
 
Each day we have celebrated different themes around volunteering, including:
  • Micro-Monday – A day to celebrate the work of youth volunteers at our events.

 

  • Transferable Skills TuesdayShowcasing the employability benefits of getting involved in volunteering. Enhancing CV’s, confident, working with the public, learning new skills, gaining experience.

 

  • Wellness WednesdayHighlighting the benefits of volunteering on personal mental health. Also Bereavement Listening, which supports others mental health.

 

  • Thankful ThursdayHighlighting the variety of student volunteers who volunteer for us. Including DofE, University and Mature students.

 

  • Community FridaySupporting community – volunteering in shops – community, promoting the Hospice in the community, helping at community events.
