Following the outstanding success of Nativity! The Musical, Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity is once again taking to the big stage with a very special production of The Wiz, a musical take on the classic 1900 children’s novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Parents can now register their children to take part in open auditions, which will take place on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th March at Norman Bragg Studio, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
With last year’s audition registrations closing early due to unprecedented demand, the charity is encouraging parents to act fast to not miss out on an audition place.
Amy Dunstall, Community Fundraiser for Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, said:
“We have been inundated with phone calls and messages asking when we will be returning and I’m thrilled to say we are officially back, and The Wiz is set to be even bigger and better! We have roles for children from 6 to 26 – all we ask for is enthusiasm, commitment, and a love of theatre. So please do take this opportunity to be part of a fantastic show while raising vital funds for local hospice care.”
Aimed at bringing local communities together while raising vital funds for our charity, The Wiz will see over 200 eager youngsters spend 2 weeks rehearsing with experienced theatre professionals, culminating in a performance on Aylesbury Waterside Theatre’s main stage.
All money raised from this community project will go directly to Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity and the charity’s dedication to delivering the best hospice care for everyone who needs it across Buckinghamshire and its borders, wherever and whenever they need it.
