Panto collections raise over £25,000!

Waterside panto stars with collection bucket

Aylesbury’s panto-goers have raised over £25,000 for local hospice care since the first panto production at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Cinderella with Cilla Black back in 2010.

The theatre has held a bucket collection for us at the end of every panto performance since they opened.

‘Supporting Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity at Christmas has fast become a tradition in its own right alongside the panto. We are always overwhelmed by the generosity of our guests and this year is no exception. This year over £1,300 has already been raised in the first five days of Cinderella and we are delighted to be back and able to support such a worthy cause once more.’ said Sophie Denney, Theatre Director

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of the theatre and all those who have donated to us at the collections over the year.  With fewer people carrying cash with them these days we are delighted at the amount that has been raised already this year,” said Emma Carroll, Partnerships Manager at the Charity.
