Strictly Florence

Join us at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre for this all-singing, all dancing spectacular

Taking place on Sunday 2nd June, Strictly Florence is a dance competition covering a plethora of styles where professional dancers partner with amateurs as they compete to become Strictly Florence Champion. 

Hosted by comedian, singer and outright diva La Voix and judged by unreleased celebrities, the night promises plenty of laughs and a great time for families and friends. 

You’ll have your say too! The audience will vote for their favourite couple and they will be crowned Strictly Florence People’s Champion.

Your Strictly Florence Couples

Couple #1
Connor McGwyre (professional) graduated from Urdang Academy in Dance and Musical Theatre and was lucky enough to spend five months performing aboard Oceania Vista as a dancer. Angela Spang (amateur) is the Founder, Owner and CEO of June Medical and won Women In Business’s UK CEO of the Year in 2019 and, in 2021, won The Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation.
Couple #2
Kyra Lea (professional) graduated from Bird College in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre and has been part of several productions including the UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Ruth Mayhew (amateur) is the Senior Communities Officer at Aylesbury Town Council and has worked for the community for fifteen years.
Couple #3
Charlotte Day (professional) graduated from Bird College in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre and has been part of several productions including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. Joanna Beardsmore-Dilks (amateur) is a business owner and has been a fantastic supporter of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity for over a decade.
Couple #4
Helayna Liviero (professional) is a graduate of Performers College and is a qualified street dance teacher who has performed with John Newman on live TV. Amy Quinlan (amateur) is Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity’s Senior Special Events and Projects Fundraiser and has had a major hand in delivering all our on-stage performances.

Molly Lewin (professional) is a graduate of Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts and has been in several productions including Alladin at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. Chris Shennan (amateur) is the Managing Director of APS Accountancy Ltd and is also a trustee of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.
Couple #6
Fran Carnier (professional) graduated from Bird College in Dance and Musical Theatre and has been in several productions including Secret Cinema’s ‘Casino Royale’. Rob Sharman (amateur) is the General Manager of the Works restaurant, which has been a brilliant supporter of the Charity.
Couple #7
Adam Scott (professional) is a graduate of Laine Theatre Arts and is also trained in the Acrobatic Arts, he is an internationally-recognised choreographer and has performed in the West End in Beauty and the Beast and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Karen Selby (amateur) works for Value Retail Management and has strong ties to the Charity as her mum, Sheila, has volunteered for us for 25 years.
Couple #8
Hannah (professional) is working as a Student Dance Teacher and has recently gained a place at Chichester University where she will continue her dance training and work towards gaining an ISTD teaching qualification. Emma Clarke (amateur) is the owner of the floristry on the grounds of the Claydon Estate.
Couple #9
Alfie Manser (professional) has over 14 years’ experience in a vast range of different productions, he is the recipient of the Olivier Award, has represented the UK at the Hip-Hop International World Finals and won several globally recognised dance awards with his former dance crew, IMD Legion. Christina Nicholls (amateur) works as Partnerships Manager for the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG). Aylesbury Waterside Theatre is part of ATG and Christina will be representing the theatre.
Couple #10
Jessica Simmons (professional) is a graduate of Performers College and has worked on several productions including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. Steve Lambert is the Town Mayor of Aylesbury for 2023-24, is a Councillor at Buckinghamshire Council, a member of Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue, a long-serving trustee of Youth Concern Aylesbury and also works for a charity helping small businesses.
