Midnight Walk

22 June // 7:30 am - 23 June // 11:30 pm

Back by popular demand! We’re bringing our Midnight Walk event back as part of our 35th anniversary celebrations

The Midnight Walk, which was last held in 2022, was a mainstay of the Aylesbury and surrounding areas’ calendar. It was designed to be an opportunity to remember and celebrate loved ones while also showing support and thanks for the work of the Hospice. We received lots of feedback that we should bring back the Midnight Walk, especially in our 35th anniversary year!

What’s different about this year’s event?

This year’s event has grown considerably, with two sister events also featuring across the weekend, each being specifically made to meet the needs and requirements of any group or participant wishing to take part and raise vital funds for the Hospice. Here are our events running across our Midnight Walk Weekend:

Twilight Walk

Event for ages 14 and under
  • 2 mile route
  • Early evening event
  • Entertainment, food and drink available before the event

Midnight Walk

Traditional Event
  • 5 or 10 mile route
  • Bright lights and clothing welcome
  • Entertainment, food and drink available before the event

'Not the Midnight Walk'

Remote Event
  • Flexible start time
  • Create your own route
  • For those who live further afield or cannot attend on the night

Details & FAQ's

The Midnight Walk Weekend takes place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June. The Twilight Walk is on Saturday and starts at 8:30pm with registration opening at 7:30pm. The Midnight Walk is also on Saturday and starts at midnight, with registration opening at 10pm. ‘Not the Midnight Walk’ is open all of Sunday and can start when you or your group wishes.

Both the Twilight and Midnight Walks take place in Aylesbury, with it starting and finishing at Roman Park Hall (HP18 0YT). ‘Not the Midnight can take place wherever you or your group would like to walk. We recommend that the walk should take place on public footpaths.

The Twilight Walk is a 2 mile route, the Midnight Walk is a 5 or 10 mile route and ‘Not the Midnight Walk’ is a length of each individual or group’s choice.

The Twilight Walk is aimed at younger walkers who are 14 or younger. If your child is under the age of 7, we recommend an adult chaperone with one chaperone permitted per three children. The Midnight Walk and ‘Not the Midnight Walk’ events are for those older than 14.

Yes. There are early bird tickets for all events. The early bird ticket sale for all three events ends on Wednesday 22nd May.

Yes. There are group tickets for each event and early bird rates are applicable if bought within the timeframe. Please refer to each event for more information regarding group tickets.

With exception of guide dogs, no animals are permitted to take part in the Twilight or Midnight Walks. You can have dogs on the ‘Not the Midnight Walk’ event

We accept picnics on the Twilight and Midnight Walks, however, no glassware or knives are allowed on the premises. As ‘Not the Midnight Walk’ is a virtual event, you can do what you please for food. Perhaps stop halfway through for a Sunday Roast!

At the FNHC ran events (Twilight Walk and Midnight Walk), we have taken all reasonable measures to assist with attendance and enjoyment of the event. The route is accessible and accessible toilets will be located at Roman Park Hall.

The quickest and easiest way to help fundraise for this event is to set up a justgiving campaign, the other way you can fundraise for the Hospice is via sponsorship form.
